Hey everyone,
October was a month of trying things, learning as we went, and continuing to build Carnivore Consciousness one video at a time. We spent time in the kitchen, took a closer look at what eating this way can look like in everyday life, and kept working on the habits that support the bigger picture.
What we shared
On October 4, we made 4-Ingredient Chocolate Cloud Brownies, without flour or added sugar. On October 11, we followed that with Carnivore Ice Cream That Actually Tastes Like Dessert. The next week brought Carnivore-ish Chocolate Ice Cream That Tastes Like a Fudgesicle.
Then, on October 25, I shared What I Eat to Get Lean on Carnivore: My $125 Week, a longer look at the food and costs behind a week of eating.
From desserts to everyday meals, my goal is to share what I’m actually doing and give you ideas you can consider for your own journey.
Health: Looking at the bigger picture
My focus in October was to continue leaning out while paying attention to my energy, how I felt, and the habits supporting my progress.
On October 1, my scale showed 174.1 pounds and an estimated 16.5% body fat. On October 31, it showed 167.0 pounds and an estimated 14.9% body fat. That’s a change of 7.1 pounds and 1.6 percentage points over the month.
I use these scale estimates as information alongside how I feel and function. They’re part of the picture, not the whole story.
One thing that still needs attention is sleep. Apple Health showed an October average of 5 hours and 56 minutes asleep. Sleep remains one of my biggest bottlenecks, and improving it is part of how I want to support my health moving forward.
What I’m learning
October reinforced the value of continuing to show up. Every video gives me another chance to learn, improve, and enjoy the process. It doesn’t have to be perfect before it’s worth sharing.
I’m also learning to pay attention to what’s working and let the next step develop from there. Sometimes that means exploring a recipe. Other times it means looking at the practical side of food, adjusting a routine, or making room for a bigger conversation about how we live.
Order, stability, surplus, and freedom through harmony
That was the theme for October, and it’s one I’m carrying into November.
For me, creating order in the things I can control helps build stability. As areas of life become more stable, there’s room to create surplus: more energy, time, resources, and options. Over time, those options can create more freedom.
Harmony is about letting those areas work together. Health, rest, work, finances, relationships, and creativity all affect how I move through life. I don’t have to perfect everything at once. I can observe what needs attention, respond to it, and keep building in a direction that feels aligned.
A thought for fall
Fall is a reminder that things change. The days get shorter, the weather shifts, and our routines may need to shift with them. That doesn’t mean we’ve lost our direction. It’s an opportunity to observe what this season is asking of us, respond to what we need, and remain aligned with where we’re going.
I’m grateful for everyone who has watched, shared, commented, or joined the journey. Thank you for being here and growing with Carnivore Consciousness.
Observe. Respond. Remain aligned.
Joe
